Isaac Harker Signs with the Saskatchewan Roughriders
Isaac Harker, a Lebanon Tiger, Indiana State Sycamore, Colorado School of Mines Oredigger, is now a Saskatchewan Roughrider! Isaac is a true example of a leader and quarterback who is overtly determined to make his dreams a reality.
Harker completed his senior season at Lebanon High School with an 8-3 record and three consecutive trips to the postseason. Isaac also threw for nearly 2,000 yards as a Junior. Harker is a stud on the field and in the classroom. He was named to the Indianapolis Colts Academic All-State and Scholar-Athlete Teams.
His academic and athletic success led him to Indiana State. While at Indiana State Isaac redshirted his freshman year, then was able to play in three games during his sophomore year. During his junior year season, Harker was dubbed QB1, finished the season with a 57% completion percentage, threw for 2,600 yards, and passed for 19 touchdowns. Isaac followed ex-Indiana State assistant, Ryan Diedrick, to Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in Golden, Colorado.
As a transfer, Isaac had immediate eligibility and began his fight for the starting QB position for the Orediggers. The CSM football program has always had a strong culture and welcomed Harker with open arms and his thirst for success. Isaac thrived in this environment and threw for 3,900 yards in his senior season as a starter with a completion percentage of 67%. He led the Orediggers to a 10-2 season and a trip to the NCAA DII National Playoffs. Isaac led Division II in touchdowns with 42.
Isaac wasn’t done with football after his senior season. Instead, Isaac joined the Jenkins Elite team and worked closely with Tim Jenkins as he prepared for the NFL draft along with Brody Oliver, Grant Kraemer, and Jacob Mezera. After participating in the Northern Colorado Pro Day, Harker caught the eye of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and earned a tryout with them in Florida.
On Wednesday, April 17th, Isaac Harker Signs with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. This is just another step in a successful career for Harker. Isaac continues to work closely with Jenkins Elite as he prepares for the Canadian football season starting soon!
