We are back for Football Talk Friday #19! This week we are breaking down a great RPO completion play. If you are unfamiliar with what an RPO is, it is a Run Pass Option. Meaning the offense will have a run play called with a pass option off of it. This one, in particular, will stress the weak side mid hook defender in zone coverage and is a simple read for the Quarterback.
Flank Right Shotgun 60 Bruce Read Doug is a single receiver run-pass option that can be executed easily for a completion. This play should be added to play books of all levels and is a great drive starter or early down play. In addition to breaking down the play, we will watch the 2018 Cleveland Browns execute it to perfection as Baker Mayfield completes the slant for a 9 yard gain.
