We are back again for Football Talk Friday #08! This week we are continuing with not only bringing you a play breakdown, but we also have a clip of the 2013 St. Louis Rams running Gator H Hook-O against the Arizona Cardinals.

Trade Right Gun Scat Right Gator H Hook-O is a pure progression play. Pure Progression plays are my personal favorite. They have the quarterback work through a sequence scanning their first progression, second progression, third progression, and so on regardless of coverage. This gives the quarterback the ability to play fast and react during the game knowing exactly where he is going to be placing his eyes.

For Gator H Hook-O out of Trade Right Gun, we will be reading the F on the Spark. A Spark route is an option route with man and zone principles. The Quarterback will then reset and look the backside X on the Shin 6 Route. If he does not like the Shin 6 then he will reset and find his running back on the Hook-O route.

The St. Louis Rams ran this week 1 in 2013 against the Arizona Cardinals and Sam Bradford completed this 2nd and 9 pass for 10 yards and a first down.

Make sure to follow along to pick up all the details and master this pro-style passing play.
