Jenkins Elite Launches Wide Receiver Academy in Houston, Texas

Training Start Date: Saturday, July 6th, 2024

CEO Announcement: Tim Jenkins, CEO and former NFL QB, expressed excitement about the new academy. “Our Houston QB Location has grown tremendously under the guidance of Jacob Mezera. We are so excited to bring elite-level wide receiver training to the Houston area,” Jenkins said.

Training Curriculum: The Houston WR Academy will feature the same world-class training curriculum used at all Jenkins Elite locations. Jenkins Elite has a strong track record, having developed:

• 275 NCAA Athletes
• 1,750 High School Athletes
• 1,275 Youth Athletes

Since 2017, Jenkins Elite athletes have earned:

• 83 Division 1 Scholarship Offers
• Signed 21 NFL Contracts

Academy Leadership:

• WR Director: Ty Evans, who was named Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year and USA Today Player of the Year while at Palmer Ridge HS. Evans accounted for 10,023 yards and 126 touchdowns throughout his prep career. He went on to play Division 1 football at NC State and Texas State. Following his D1 football career, Ty began working with Jenkins Elite.
• QB Director: Jacob Mezera, the Houston QB Director, will work alongside Coach Evans. Mezera is enthusiastic about the launch, stating, “It’s a great opportunity for the best quarterbacks in the state to work alongside the best receivers. Coach Ty will bring energy every day and pass on years of experience to our Wide Receivers.”
