Picks of the Week

#2 Loveland (0-0) V #3 Broomfield (1-0)

  1. Loveland comes into the game sitting at the number 2 position in 4a. Riding off a 10 and 0 2017 season the Indians will look to come out strong against Broomfield because as well all know, they lost a heartbreaker to Broomfield in the second round of the playoffs last year.
  2. Broomfield, led by Senior QB Steven Crowell looks to build upon their convincing week one win, 55-14 over Legacy. Should be a good one, I see both teams coming out ready for a fight.

#1 Cherry Creek (1-0) V Santa Margarita CA (1-1)

  1. Cherry Creek takes it out of state this week, traveling to California to take on the Santa Margarita Eagles. Senior QB Alex Padilla looks to lead the Bruins to another decisive win this week, he will look to Marcus Miller for some electric playmaking.
  2. Santa Margarita comes into the week looking to bounce back after a close loss to Mission Viejo, 30-20. The Eagles do come in with an interesting advantage, this will be there 3rd game of the season while cherry creek has only played one.

  1. The Eagles are flying high after a huge win against the 3a champions, Palmer Ridge. Gavin Herberg leads the prolific offensive attack bolstered by an all-out playmaker in #3 Max Lofy.
  2. The Rams enter the game hungry after a close week one loss against Centennial, this is New Mexico ball by the way. We don’t have a ton of info on the team but coach Holland is very adamant that this team is ready to compete with the best of them.

#5 Chatfield (1-0) V #7 Rampart (1-0)

  1. Chatfield is looking good. They come into this matchup with a 42-0 win over gateway in week one and they don’t show any signs of slowing down in this one. The chargers are led by senior RB Hunter Barnes, check this out, 277 yards and 4 TD’s last week. The Kid is electric.

#2 Palmer Ridge (0-1) V Canon City (0-0)

    1. The Bears are hurting. A tough week one loss to the 4a runner-ups, pine creek, is fueling their fire. Expect Senior QB Ty Evans to have these dudes fired up and ready to go. Expect to see a lot of points on the board this week.
    2. Canon City is looking for some revenge this year against palmer ridge. They were the only roadblock from last year, handing them their only loss in the regular season. A 43-0 runaway.

    1. Jordan Wolverton is an electric player. If you don’t know his name yet, you best get acquainted. After a solid week one win against the Pagosa springs pirates, the demons look to continue their 3a campaign against the perennial powerhouse palisade.
    2. Palisade is always a problem in the 3a division. Every year coach Ramuuno has his squad ready to go. This year will be no different, they look to start their season off right against the demons.
