Job Title: Intern – Junior Wide Receiver Coach

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Department: Wide Receiver

Pay Type: Hourly

Position Summary: Responsible for learning and assisting in all aspects of training and coaching Wide Receivers.


Position Responsibilities


  • Within the structure of the Wide Receiver program, prepare, and deliver a high-quality Wide Receiver training program aimed at achieving the athlete’s goals.
  • Have open two-way communication between athletes, parents and guardians, and coaches, on the progress of the Wide Receiver and the goals that have been set.
  • Advise the Wide Receivers on camp schedules, pre-season preparation, and benchmarks for optimizing and measuring performance.
  • Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the instructional equipment and methodologies incorporated into the Jenkins Elite Wide Receiver program.
  • Interact with the Wide Receivers as a mentor and as an educator of their sport and life.
  • Continually assess the skill and emotional development of each client, and liaise with the Wide Receiver program management to ensure all internal and external partners are utilized to support Wide Receivers ongoing comprehensive development
  • Act as an advocate communicating with the Wide Receiver, parent or guardian, and coach in their overall development.
  • Assist in the college placement of the Wide Receiver as required
  • Work closely with all members of the Wide Receiver team to continually review program structure, content, delivery, objectives, and resources, making recommendations where changes could improve quality or opportunities to grow the business.
  • Support recruiting and retention initiatives aimed at current and prospective Wide Receivers as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • High standard of proficiency in Wide Receiver, training, and instructional techniques.
  • Strong commitment to Wide Receiver clientele
  • Professional and/or collegiate playing or coaching experience
  • Passion for developing Wide Receivers on and off the field
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A superior work ethic

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of latest trends in Wide Receiver training methodologies and technologies
  • Understanding of college recruiting processes, rules, and current trends
  • CPR Certification

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 pounds
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
  • Must be able to move around all facilities which include, gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays is required
  • Ability to travel nationally for camps, clinics, and events
