We are back again for Football Talk Friday #11! This week we are breaking down Dump Right Quick Ace Right X Stick Spacing. We will also watch the 2018 Atlanta Falcons run this against the Cincinnati Bengals in week 4.
Dump Right Quick Ace Right X Stick Spacing is one of the best Pure Progression quick passing plays in football. In this pure progression read the quarterback will start by taking a three plant drop and taking his eyes to the F on the arrow route. From there, he will reset and look at the X on the stick. Following that, he will kick back and look at the Z on the hank route. If the hank route is also covered, he will kick back again to see the Y on the sit, before finally finding space and getting to his H on the Skippy Swing.
This is a rare five progression play where you will have the ability to work to each receiver on the play.
The Atlanta Falcons ran this concept in week 4 of the 2018 season against the Cincinnati Bengals. Matt Ryan completed the X Stick to Julio Jones for a 14 yard gain and a first down.
