Job Title: Quarterback Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Quarterback
Pay Type: Salary
Salary: Year 1 $35,000 – $50,000 base, performance incentives, and PTO.
Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of training and coaching Quarterbacks. Leading the strategic planning, operational excellence, and integration of the Quarterbacking curriculum and programs.
Position Responsibilities
Strategy:
- Lead the overall strategic planning, operational excellence and financial success of the Quarterback program area, while focusing on client development, welfare, and maintaining a dynamic work environment.
- Strategically plan and execute solutions for existing and new training techniques.
- Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision and plan for comprehensive excellence in the Quarterback program including the Academy, Camps, training for NFL Quarterbacks, clinics, and program development.
- Collaborate with internal partners on the creation, development, and implementation of training curriculum specifically for quarterbacks.
- Within the structure of the Quarterback program, prepare, and deliver a high-quality Quarterback training program aimed at achieving the athlete’s goals.
- Have open two-way communication between athletes, parents and guardians, and coaches, on the progress of the Quarterback and the goals that have been set.
- Advise the Quarterbacks on camp schedules, pre-season preparation, and benchmarks for optimizing and measuring performance.
- Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the instructional equipment and methodologies incorporated into the Jenkins Elite Quarterback program.
- Interact with the Quarterbacks as a mentor and as an educator of their sport and life.
- Continually assess the skill and emotional development of each client, and liaise with the Quarterback program management to ensure all internal and external partners are utilized to support Quarterbacks ongoing comprehensive development
- Participate in Jenkins Elite public relations activities including media interviews and speaking engagements.
- Act as an advocate communicating with the Quarterback, parent or guardian, and coach in their overall development.
- Assist in the college placement of the Quarterback as required
- Work closely with all members of the Quarterback team to continually review program structure, content, delivery, objectives, and resources, making recommendations where changes could improve quality or opportunities to grow the business.
- Support recruiting and retention initiatives aimed at current and prospective Quarterbacks as required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High standard of proficiency in Quarterback, training, and instructional techniques.
- Strong commitment to Quarterback clientele
- Understanding of, and commitment to, excellence in leading a quarterback program
- Professional and/or collegiate playing or coaching experience
- Ability to bring business orientation and operational excellence while focusing on student-athlete welfare and maintaining a dynamic work environment
- Passion for developing Quarterbacks on and off the field
- Highly organized with tremendous work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced organization
- Ability to think strategically and to execute a strategic plan
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
- A superior work ethic
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Professional and/or collegiate playing and/or coaching experience
- Knowledge of latest trends in Quarterback training methodologies and technologies
- Understanding of college recruiting processes, rules, and current trends
- CPR Certification
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 pounds
- Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
- Must be able to move around all facilities which include, gym, turf, fields, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays is required
- Ability to travel nationally for camps, clinics, and events
